What is the Freedom of Information Act 2000?

The Freedom of Information Act gives you the right to ask for information from public services, including NHS Shropshire, Telford and Wrekin.

The aim of the Act is to promote trust and confidence in our public services by providing clear information and being open about what we do.


How to submit a Freedom of Information (FOI) request?

  • your name
  • a post or email address
  • a clear description of the information needed.

We will aim to answer your request within twenty working days.
