Integrated Cancer Strategy

We are currently refreshing our 5-year (2021 to 2026) cancer strategy and would welcome your views and suggestions.

The strategy, which focuses on the aims and ambitions for improving outcomes for people with cancer, looks at all aspects of care from prevention and awareness through to treatment and living with and beyond cancer.

It has been developed with colleagues from all aspects of cancer care including Public Health England, Primary Care, the Acute Hospital Trust and commissioners.

This is an ambitious strategy which will be reviewed annually and delivered alongside related strategies such as workforce and finance and other key priorities.

Please take a look at our Plan on a Page so that you can see the key actions being taken: Integrated Cancer Strategy 2021-2026 Plan on a Page.

If you would like to take part in an online patient engagement event, or if you would like to discuss the strategy further, then please email Jessica Greenwood, Lead Cancer Nurse (Shrewsbury and Telford Hospitals NHS Trust) and Strategic Lead for Cancer (Shropshire, Telford & Wrekin Clinical Commissioning Group) at Jessica.greenwood2@nhs.net by Monday 25th October, 2021.
