Alison Smith

Alison has worked in management within the manufacturing industry in both Shropshire and the West Midlands, before securing a management role at Telford and Wrekin Council in 2001. In 2009, she became Trust Secretary for NHS Telford and Wrekin PCT, subsequently becoming Executive Lead for Governance and Engagement in NHS Telford and Wrekin CCG in 2013. She then held the role as Joint Director of Corporate Affairs for both CCGs.

As Director of Corporate Affairs for the CCG, Alison is responsible for ensuring NHS Shropshire, Telford and Wrekin CCG complies with relevant legal, constitutional and regulatory requirements, and ensure that the CCG engages and consults with their patients and local population to help inform the CCG’s decision making. Alison is also the Company Secretary and Caldicott Guardian for the CCG. Corporate Services; Complaints and PALs; Communications and Engagement; Health and Safety and Security Management; and Corporate Estates report into this role.
