Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)

What is SEND?

SEND stands for Special Educational Needs and Disabilities.

A child or young person (up to age 25) has SEND if they have a learning difficulty or disability which calls for special educational provision to be made for him or her in order to support them to make progress.

A school, college or other educational provision, such as a specialist training or apprentice scheme, will often be able to offer this provision via the graduated approach to SEN Support.

Further information is available via the Shropshire Local Offer. Please click here for details.
